Front Wheel Replacement

If you have not seen these Next model bikes, they are amazingly heavy.
A relative brought one over for me to tinker with and it weighs over 40
lbs. I don't think I have ever ridden a bike that heavy before.

For $100 plus tax, the original poster can probably wheel a complete
new Next bike out of WalMart in 20 minutes. That gives him an awful lot
of spare parts.

Admittedly, WalMart sells bikes without gratuitous insults (and so do
most local bike shops), but those can be obtained for free here at RBT.

Of course, for $53.73 plus tax, he could own a true classic, the Fury
RoadMaster:

Meanwhile, the cruelly slandered Next alleged to weigh 40 lbs ships

Next bicycle's butt look big. It probably weighs only around 30 lbs,

So, the bottom line is that if you lived in the boonies and were
desperate for a real heavy duty shipping carton, you order the
Roadmaster and then throw it away and keep the box after the thing
arrives.

That link shows my exact bike. Only I paid $139 last October for it.
The Walmart I purchased it from doesn't sell replacement wheels (so they
said when I called)

There are no bicycle shops here anymore. They all folded or bellied up.
Your link shows the exact model that I have and it rode like a feather.
I've wrecked it three times..each time the front wheel took the brunt of
the force and warped it into a pretzel. Twice now I've been able to
re-shape it back into something like a wheel, but the third wreck wreaked
havoc to be sure. I was hauling mail when a dog ran out to play chase. I
was too fast to miss the dog. I ran over the mut, ate the asphalt,
slammed into a fire hydrant..two spokes busted clean, and again, another
pretzel. Put my right fore-arm in a cast. Yep.

So I'm having trouble locating an online source for a replacement and I
had hoped I could beckon upon your experiences here.

What's QBP?

Quality Bike Parts in general or a link to a chain store (pun

QBP has this online ordering deal that links through an edealer's website. I'm
not sure of the technology or logistics, but the bottom line is you've got this
entire distributor's catalog in front of you with the particular storefront's
pricing. A lot of the online bike dealers are set up with this.

Heavy isn't bad, if you're gonna runs it over kerbs, into fire hydrants,
and wrap it around a tree. It's usually primarily indicative of a gas pipe
frame, with very thick walled pipes. Not necessarily a bad thing.
