I'm gonna make some next week, and see if it's as
    good.. . .and less expensive!

I ate marinated fresh mozzerella today that was in bite
sized ball shaped pieces. Is that a common size or did the
caterer bread off chuncks and roll them into balls?

I've seen those in the "olive bar" at a local supermarket,
in a mix that includes tomatoes and roasted red peppers.
Must be more than one size available "to the trade." The
ones I buy are a little bigger than a golf ball.

the bride came out carrying a plate with a cupcake and
a candle - announcing that there was a birthday today
(I thought I heard her say "a couple of birthdays)! She
gave the cupcake to me and I looked around for the
other person(s), then the entire wedding reception
party sang Happy Birthday to ME! Oh, my goodness... I
    almost cried!

That was soooo sweet! I've never been to a wedding
reception where they honored anyone other than the
    bride & groom.

That really is sweet! Happy Birthday to you!!

Thanks - I'm a year older (not sure about wiser). <wink>

How did the paella turn out?

I could have been better. BTW: there was no chorizo in it,
    it was chicken instead.

They're pretty common. They look really pretty in a salad
with cherry tomatoes, as they're about the same size.

Any (big name) grocery store? How could I have missed them?
I'll have to look more carefully next time.

I guess so! These were slightly smaller than a quarter.

The Safeway near me carries them - in the specialty cheese
section near the deli. (I shop at the Bay Street Safeway).

Thanks! I'll stop by sometime and pick some up. I live &
work on the South side of town, so I'm not up there very
often. In the mean time, I'll take a closer look at the
specialty cheese sections of the larger Safeways near me.
