My wife and I had dinner with a friend of ours last Saturday. He has family in France and Switzerland, sons, daughters, grand kids, brothers, etc.... His son and grand daughters made the trip to Les Champs-Elysées to watch the final stage and for the grand daughters to see their heroes - Thomas Vockler, Lance Armstrong and Bradley McGee. He and his family are huge fans of cycling and in a recent phone conversations with his son, his son expressed a great deal of contempt for L Equipe and he said considering the source, the news has pretty much died on the vine in France.

i am just trying to express that your friends opinion is NOT the majority opinion in france but on of many differing opinons -
