  1. How? What's the best way? In individual slices, frozen then wrapped?

    Your ideas?

    Thanks! Wayne

    What leftover pizza? <g>

I'd wrap them in individual slices in saran wrap, then put the wrapped pieces all together in a
large ziplock and squoosh out all the air if you don't have a food saver.

That's the way I go about it. I love Pizza Hut, and when they have their specials, I'm known to get
an extra pizza and freeze individual slices to eat for quick meals. It works great!

Heh heh! Well, SO and I went out for our first pizza in over three months since we began Weight
Watchers. Due to a little miscommunication, the two of us ended up with an 18" double crust and a
15" deep dish Chicago-style. Even not on a diet, that's a bit too much pizza for the two of us <g>
and we wouldn't dare eat it two days in a row.

The pizza shop and Italian restaurant is run by the 3rd generation of a family with pizza roots
in Chicago and their pizza and calzones are absolutely incredible. I just couldn't let all this
    go to waste.

In addition... The restaurant has a tradition after you finish your meal that you spin a wheel to
win a prize, the assortment ranging from a dollar off your next meal or a free appetizer, dessert,
soda, etc., and one grand prize on the wheel. Oddly enough, no one has ever won the grand prize
since they began this 4 years ago, that is, until tonight. When SO spun the wheel he wouldn't look
until it had stopped. Sure enough, it stopped on the grand prize. The grand prize? A complete dinner
for 4 consisting of appetizer, salad, four 12-inch pizzas, beverages, and dessert. A very nice
windfall for a place we dearly love.

I suspected this might be the best way, so off to the kitchen I go after this to cut, wrap, bag,
    and freeze.

    Thanks, Katra...

I was actually kidding, but that's ok. :-) I cannot eat anywhere near as large of a meal as I did
several years ago, (stomachs seem to shrink with age) so I do indeed freeze pizza, and only get it a
couple of times per year. <G> Larger pizzas are better deals.

If you intend to weat the pizza in over a period of time, instead of reheating it all at once, then
silcing it before freezing is best. Wrap up each slice, or the whole, in plastic wrap, then aluminum
    foil before freezing it.

Vacuum sealer, I am single and the two pizza deals were
always tempting but what to do with all those leftover
slices. A vacuum sealer allows me to keep the pizza for long
term storage. Now when I am in a hurry and need something
quick there is slices of pizza!
