Freezing cottage cheese?

I don't know about freezing it, but several years ago, a friend of mine read
somewhere that storing the container upside down will make it last longer,
assuming it has NOT been opened. It seems to work, but I have no idea why.
My best guess is that....never mind. Just try it.

I personally would never freeze cottage cheese.
As long as it's sealed and refrigerated, I've had it keep 2 to 3 weeks
past the "sell by"date.

I like cottage cheese just by itself, plain in a bowl.....

Never freeze cottage cheese..it will turn into a disgusting
mess..speaking from experience.

no freezing, but I've kept mine 10 days after the dat and it was fine
(unopened)

You can freeze it but it will be crumbly when you thaw it. I doubt it would
make a difference in cooking.

One of my tricks for loosing weight. 1 cup of 1% cottage cheese, 2
nectarines, a bit of Splenda. When my raspberries are bearing I vary
this with some of them with a nectarine or strawberries. Yum!

I've kept mine a week past date, opened. In fact I just finished one I
missed in the back of the frig and it was fine.
