OK, I'm not a racer, nor much into racing, nor the strange equipment they redesign for racers every week. But I have to ask...
On yesterday's stage, I saw a close up of one of the riders and it looked like he had run his bike head on into one of the team cars! There was an "S" curve down the entire length of the front fork.
Is there a practical reason for this? or is it just an attention getter like Bianchi's strange color or the "wave stays" of the 70's?

Jeez, and I had thought the straight forks were the ugliest possible design!

Look at the seat stays. The Onda fork matches the kink in the seat stays of the Pinarello Dogma:

I might just be getting old but it almost seems that companies are involved in a competition to design the most ugly bike. There are the Pinarellos mentioned, The New Look frame, this years top of the range Cinelli and have you every seem a Kuota........ eeeeek.
