no way you do this too? back when I was getting hammered regularly, me

my teammates would "chalk it up as a win"
so if you got diarrhea on the last day of Gila, chalk it up as a win,
even if you
were in 128th place GC,
or even better, let's say you did a crit and got 49th, but Chris Wherry

in 52nd, and then four years later he wins USPRO, you can chalk that
bad boy up as a win too,
because you beat him at some Thursday nite industrial park crit when he
raced for
Taya Chain. I beat Tom Danielson once at a collegiate road race, so
that means I
won the Tour of Georgia and who knows, maybe the TDF one day, I can't
wait to
chalk up my first tour de france victory.

I have hundreds and hundreds of virtual wins, much easier than actually
winning a race,
and it really helps the old self-esteem, or in that case, national
pride.
retroactive drug testing has to be the most retarded idea in the
history of sport.

I totally agree. It's about as moronic as challenging the supremacy of
East Germans in sport. So what if they were doping. Everybody was on
drugs so it was a level playing field. They were the best anyway.

Let's face it folks, the tdf, is half circus and half athletic event.
Do you really think the results are actually carved in stone. The results
are malleable. They can be changed and regenerated to suit the mood of
the
country (France). If the populace feels it was unfair for Lance to win 7,
they find a way to change it to 5. I wish they would take away one from
LeMond for using cheater bars on that final time trial, an unfair
advantage.

The bars were determined to be legal and Fignon had the option to use them.
Fignon tried them but did not like them and decided not to use them--a
decision he probably regrets. I'll bet his flapping pony tail cost him the
8 seconds.

In the recent Cycle Sport, Fignon still says they were illegal.
Probably will until he dies.
