Listen JD. First, I probably know more about computers than you'll
ever know. Second, I asked for insight with regard to my lack of
knowledge about stroke length. Was that not obvious? The answer is
"yes." Perhaps the information I was seeking was unclear in your
clouded little brain when I said "I'm looking for a definitive answer
to how the longer stroke length might affect my bike." I could've
said, "I'd like everyone with an opinion about Kona bikes to spew in
this thread," but I didn't. Tires are not cheap. Good luck finding
enough change under the cushions of your couch.

I too have noticed that some posters here can be very critical of
anything you say Mark. (not pointing fingers) This is Not a friendly
atmosphere, dare I say it could be considered by some to be a hostile
environment. There are no guidelines, no rules and little support. From
what I have learned over the last few weeks is, if you wish to
contribute to this group you must be willing to have every word you say
to be scrutinized to its fullest and you must never say anything to
defend your statements as you will face being banned. you must use
perfect grammar and spelling at all times, choose your words very
carefully and above all.... Never ask questions, never tell people what
you wear, what you ride or what components are on your ride. You must
agree with what others say at all times and If you keep in mind that no
opinion you have (whether asked for or not) is valid, you'll do fine.

The only thing you need to do in this newsgroup is to take everything
that is said with a grain of salt. Believe it or not, the people here
are friendly and would be more than willing to ride and talk with you if

enough to "hate" Kona? Did you have a bad experience with one of their
bikes? Did you have a bad experience with Kona the company? What
makes you "see red" about Kona? Did someone with a Kona beat you in a
race? Are you basing your opinion on something you heard someone else
say? Or basing it on someone else's experience? Why is it such a big

rider and a purist that you're above anything that's not the bike you
