FOX DHX Air Settings

It's not you, other people are also struggling with getting their setup
right. The Turner Board on MTBR is helpful and there is currently a link on
subject.

Can you guys post what ur running? I'm ~220lbs w/o gear and
playing with my '05 DHX 5.0 Air (which doesn't have a
separate BV air pressure setting, I _think_ it's an '05),
I'm running ~260psi, bottom out twisted in 2/3 (only see one
line), rebound about middle.

My biggest air is probably 3' and that pushes the rings
right to the end of the shaft. I probably need a little
more air (both in the shock and under the wheels :-), but
I'm not sure how much is too much? When does that thing
explode??? :-) I did not see that limit in my downloaded PDF
manual.

I wish I had that BV pressure adj. flexibility.

Also, I _did_ have the complained-about shock seal failure
after 2 rides and my LBS rebuilt it...2 more rides on it so
far w/o incident.

version of the DHX 5.0 Air where there is no separate air
adj for BV. Perhaps requested by Specialized due to frame
design constraints? My LBS swapped the 5th Element (that
came stock on my '05) with the Fox as part of the deal.

I finally think I have mine dialed, although it probably won't help you
much (I weigh 145#). I have my main tube set at 185, the BV at 120,
rebound in the middle, and propredal two clicks over the middle towards
plus. I never touched the bottom out. Keep in mind that I like a
rougher ride (I need to feel the ground - it's a balance thing).

I don't know. doesn't the coil replace the main chamber? It did on my
Romic.

I don't know. doesn't the coil replace the main chamber? It did on my
Romic.

Yes, I suppose there are combo shocks with air and coils but most coil
shocks don't have user serviceable air fittings.
