A horrible thing happened to me today. One of the blades of my forks snapped as I was riding along. It snapped at the brake attachment. I suspect the brazing damaged the metal at that point.
So I need a new fork. One option is to go back to Argos and get an identical fork but I am not sure I want to do that.
What kind of options do I have for a fork which 1. Takes a wheel with 700C x 28mm tyres. 2. Proper Mudguard Clearance, 3. Disc brake mounting plate.
If I do return to Argos (or another frame builder) would the much discussed alternate mounting on the right hand fork offer any advantages on the stresses that the fork will be subjected to?

Is this Argos the usually highly regarded frame builder, or Argos the cheap'n'nasty catalogue shop? If the former, I'd go back to them.
