I don't give a rats ass what you do. Vegetarianism is a nutrient
deficient diet. Period. End of discussion.

So is an all meat diet. Equally true or equally
    false depending on your perspective.

I agree 100%. I've never advocated anything so extreme. Although the
Inuits and Eskimos lived on a nearly all fish diet for about 8 months
fo the year and were very healthy.

The problem isn't vegetarians waxing poetic about
how they eat. It's vegetarians pressuring others
to eat that way or putting out propaganda about
how their way is somehow heathlier.

Bingo. Or they impose their ideas on their children and their childrens
    health.

we've all heard it before that some other way of
eating is healthier but many of us are more healthy
now than we ever were before starting low carb.
Any claim that assumes that low carb is in any
way unhealthy is as claim that started based on
nonsense. Any claim that calls other way of
eating health is fine but irrelevant to the topic
    of ASDLC.

    True.

It is possible to be healthy eating a vegan diet.

Possible, but not likely in the real world, unless one really is an
expert on food and nutrition. Most impressionable teenagers who become
converts to the touchy-feely save-the-poor-animals aspects of veganism
haven't got clue one about even basic concepts of nutrition.

It is also possible to be healthy eating an all
meat diet. In both cases, so what? They are
both far from the center, both away from the core
of what humans were evolved to eat. Humans are
evolved to eat a broad spectrum of foods that can
include either extreme. Eating towards the center
takes less effort. Eating towards the center
means eating meat, vegitables and fruit. Eating
towards the center is the basis of paleo programs,
is often the way people view low carb and low fat
    plans.

Eating real foods is the key. Real meat and real produce. Food as
nature presents them, not as marketers and processors and manufacturers
present them. And soy is not a real food.

It is if you eat the beans themselves. :-)

I'm totally enjoying making dishes out of black soy beans.....

    and I'm not even vegan!

I prefer to eat "in the middle" as you put above.
Meat and veggies of some kind with nearly every meal.

Haha, I have an anecdote for that. This friend of my sister's back in
high school came over for dinner, and my sister warned us ahead of time
that the girl was a vegetarian. So we made sure we had extra broccoli,
salad, asparagus, and mashed potatoes, since she wouldn't be eating the
steak we were having. All she ate were the mashed potatoes, because she
said she couldn't stand "Anything green." She was pretty fat.

A coworker of mine has a daughter who has decided that she doesn't like
meat. The coworker tries to be halfway supportive by having non-meat
proteins around but she does keep on telling her daughter that there is
a difference between being VEGETARIAN and JUNK-FOOD-ATARIAN ;-)

Ot unless one is born into a culture where near-vegan
eating is common. That way the knowledge comes built
in. Same as all-meat, I wouldn't have a clue of how
to stay healthy on either an all-meat or vegan diet
no matter that I know of cultures that do it.

Chuckle. Or folks who try to make their dog and cat
into a vegitarian and then wonder why the dog ate the
    cat.

    Yup.

You'll face a fair amount of disagreement on that one.

Black soy bean is low carb, and I've only made pots of beans twice in
    the past two months.....
