There are two types of places like this.
The first is offshore pharmacies. They simply operate out of other
countries where there is little enforcement of the law, and take
advantage of the fact that Customs can't search every package. If
customs finds out, there is little they can do against either you or
the company who sent you the medicines.
The other type involves getting a prescription from a doctor who gets
paid a certain amount for each Rx. You get an 'online consulation'
where you claim you have some sort of problem (usually this works best
if you make your problem sound a lot like what the drug is indicated
for). They then forward this to a pharmacy which is in on the
operation, then they Fedex your 'legal' drugs to you.
The FDA has been all over sites like this. Unfortunatly, enforcement
of the law is very difficult, as it seems there is no shortage of
doctors who would do nothing but use their script pad to make money.
Doesn't make this spam any less obnoxious.
