  1. Go aussie 😄

Australia should have no trouble beating Germany, probably go on an win the tournament without conceding a single goal 😄

  2. Jorge Lorenzo will win the MotoGP crown. Casey Stoner, the Aussie, has no chance at all as he's already buggered his season. What's that? World Cup? Is that some sporting thing?

It's what we Americans refer to as soccer.

  4. I'm going to say Brazil as its hard to pick. I think England will fall short again.

Germany are looking good so far to, really handing it to the Aussies 😄 2-0 at half time

I'm looking forward to see Brazil play.

  6. I voted Germany.

  7. So much for that theory it's 4 zip now. I've been trying to watch the game to cure my soccer avoidance syndrome🙂 What's up with the nonstop vuvuzelas?

That was my poor attempt at sarcasm :p

They vuvuzelas are bloody annoying, I guess they're a traditional part of the culture tho, what can they do? ban them?

  9. Hi,My vote for Spain.

  10. have to admit the buzzing from those horns is unusual. can't see how fifa can remove them without also taking away the horns and drums from the brazilian fans. saw holland v brasil in dallas some time ago and the atmosphere was really charged with that constant drum beat and horn tooting. only a few matches into this cup and my brain has already pushed the buzz to the background.

  11. Hi,Brazil are looking good so far.

of the early matches, germany look to be a cut above. holland (my pick/kiss of death) also seem to have put a good eleven on the pitch. brazil looked stymied by dprk too much of the match, but they do tend to round into shape as the tournament progresses. argentina get my nod as the most dangerous squad there. rotten qualifying run and the maradona antics, but messi is too good to hold back.

  13. No apologies here - soccer ranks just above golf on my excitement scale...way too much stalement involved...will acknowledge soccer has quite the following though around the world...now concerning real football😄, I'm going with the San Diego Chargers to be world champs...

  14. Goooooooooooal!! ggggggggoaal!

I'd like to see the Orange of the Netherlands do well. I've always been a France fan...and played some soccer there a few years ago. But not sure they'll advance into the later rounds. I'll still wear my jerseys to support. Gonna put one on now actually. gotta take my daughter to her practice.

germany's definitely looking like a team that wants to win.

the Swiss beat Spain. huge upset there. US tied England! nice.

    Go CANADA.....oops. we weren't 'invited'.

  15. Yawn.

Let's see....soccer, baseball, golf or watching paint dry. I just can't make up my mind.

  16. I usually pick my soccer team based upon who has the best-looking fans. Brazil is a perennial favorite, but which team has the edge this year?

    I'll take the paint.

  18. looks as though the ref's are going to be the story of this cup. serbia tops germany? 10 man germany? sent klose off?

an especially bad day to be a fifa official or linesman. first the french handball which robbed the irish of their place, the unreal amount of yellow being shown at this tournament, and the disallowed goal u.s. v slovenia will definitely raise the volume for instant replay. sepp is not going to have a good press conference.

Yeah, are they trying to clean up play in order to reduce the number of fake injuries sustained by the athletes? :p

that's what i figure is going on. strange that they never saw fit to book the player that, having writhed in agony on the pitch, springs back to perfect form so soon after that horrible foul that he'd just suffered without even having a pronounced limp.
