How about vegetables, for being so healthy but having limited appeal
to many people (esp. children)? If broccoli tasted like fruit loops
(and perhaps the same colors) kids would be scarfing it down.
BTW, re: English muffins. I recently received a gift of the best
English muffins in the known universe: New English Muffin Company.
They are very expensive (and mostly mail order, with a few retail
stores), but incredible. Even the plain ones make me cry for happy.

Right! Or if you could run them through the playdough factory?!!

Sue,
"each muffin is personally baked" How cute. Thanks for the link! Those
look like some great english muffins. I'll have to order a dozen.
Also, what about pepper shakers, that when you set them back down,
always leave flecks of pepper!??

Syrup: Half of the quantity of molasses, Karo, honey, etc. sticks to
the sides of the measuring cup.
Scrambled eggs: why does the pan get that extra egg that has to be
thrown in?
Hot dogs: why does a package of buns not match the number of weiners?

If the recipe calls for oil, measure that first then measure the
sticky stuff with the same cup or spoon. It will slide right out!
(Hmm, if it doesn't, I wonder if a thin coating of oil or shortening
would have the same effect?) It was the best thing I discovered when
measuring honey for bread.

Get a rubber spatula.

Huh? In 30+ years of cooking I never heard this one.

They are made by different companies.

Butter - such wonderful flavour. Adds so much to food. Unfortunately also
adds to the cholesterol level. :-(

Slicing the english muffins with a sharp serrated knife greatly reduces
the crumbs. In fact, that's what I did for the sandwich I finished
eating a few minutes ago.

You haven't heard that expression? When you ask "how many eggs do you
want?," some people will say one, or two, or three, or whatever. Mom
wants two, Dad wants three, teenager wants two, etc. So you add the 7
eggs and add an extra egg for the pan so it turns out right for each
person.

One brand, I think Sara Lee, not sure, comes already sliced, which is
great, especially if you're in the mood for just a half.

Spray the cup with Pam before filling

To make up for what sticks. Solution: butter pan well, keep the
liquid egg moving.

To make up for the one that you burn while toasting? If you use
the buns for tuna salad sandwiches, they usually match up fine.

Nope, it's new to me. From now on I'll add the extra egg and eat it myself!

No, it doesn't stick. It's not like that. It's like throwing in an
extra dash of rum to a blender "for good measure," or something like.
You know?

Spray or wipe with oil before pouring it in and it will all come out.
Quoted message said:Scrambled eggs: why does the pan get that extra egg that has to be

We no longer do one or two eggs per person plus one, we do 14-16 eggs
for the six of us. That is one serving per person, with none left over.
🙂 When people see us picking up two 18 packs of eggs, they think it's
a lot, but it's really just breakfast.

They do in my neck of the woods.

Only if you use a fork to split them.

Run the cup under some hot water first.

They do if you buy the "bun-length" or "big" wieners, which come eight
to a pack.
