Can anybody explain why it would only show up in one test? I don't know if he did or didn't but why would it only show up in one test. I don't think one injection, supplement,etc would not even be beneficial.

This is going to sound crazy, but I'm actually hoping for the *good of the sport* that he's guilty and most of the other riders turn out to be as well. If we can have a big doping armageddon right here and now and start over, start fresh, air the dirty laundry, then perhaps pro cycling can go forward clean and they can all stop doping. It's probably one of those things where each individual cyclist only does it because he thinks the other guy is doing it (which he is because THAT guy thinks the other guy is).

I really hope Floyd has the guts to accuse the French Lab of doping ! Then the fight would really get good. I really think the French are tired of Americans winning the TDF.

My opinion is that he didn't dope because, like alot of people are saying, who uses dope just once? It doesn't work like that. If he doped up on that leg of the race, it wouldn't help that much.

On the otehr hand, he was probably taking medication for his hip and that might have had something that would give a positive testing.

Either way, this happens with everyone in every sport that does super good. There was scandal around Shaun Alexander last year...

Second, this moron's allegations of the "lab chickening out" or the "lab did not want to be investigated" or the lab "losing" its case against Armstrong are a complete fabrication with no basis in reality.

I don't know if he's guilty or innocent, but I can't help wondering that his testosterone levels came back so high because the lab was comparing Floyd's sample to that of a Frenchman...

Not likely, when I read that the UCI refuses to be so inconsistent with it's policy.
A) they release FL's sample A result prior to sample B result - against their own policy.
B) they won't release Jan Ulrich's blood for the Spanish authorities investigating Operation Puerto to test for DNA against the seized blood bags....and here is the kicker...because it's against policy.
No organization will ever succeed when it rules on policies so inconsistently. Obviously, they aren't that motivated to find the cheaters.

A) The UCI did not release Landis' A sample results. Team Phonak did. They pretty much had to because it was obvious when Landis began cancelling all his post Tour races and giving up hundreds of thousands of euros in start money.

B) The UCI cannot release Jan Ullrich's blood. That would violate medical privacy laws and cycling's rules on the uses for blood samples. Germany itself has very stringent laws on when a person can be compelled to give DNA evidence. This spanish investigation does not qualify.
