Yep heard the same story: He re-injected tainted blood during the Tour - he gave blood while injecting testosterone during training, and somehow the 'filtering' didn't work properyl which is why only a few metabolites are showing up in high concentration.

THe other story making the rounds is that LA is paying for his defense to keep Landis quiet on incidents during his years at US Postal. But on the other hand, I also heard the rumor that the USA CYcling folks in charge (Weisel,...) want to nail Landis to the wall as they don't want another american not on Disco to have any success. Let's remember kids, that Weisel put his cronies in charge and at the same owns Disco - ooh can we say conflict of interest?

I've also heard the rumor that LA is financing Landis' defense, though maybe from the same place. In any case, Landis is more likely to spill the beans ... or I guess I should say "was" at this point. Lying drug cheat Hamilton was so deep into doping that there was probably no way he could come clean. Also, Landis probably has a bit more self-respect and is willing -- or again, I should say was willing -- to stand up to Armstrong.

[font=Verdana]Makes you think that the USPS/DC systematic doping also provisioned for an insurance policy for riders who got caught... a slush fund of sorts in a high interest back account to assist riders who were caught with their legal defences... this way the riders protected each other and stopped riders from speaking out... I certainly wouldn't doubt it -- however, Lance is so parsimonious with money for anyone but himself he may also just decide to fund the ones he likes and attacks the ones he doesn't. I'm sure Heras didn't get a penny. And Lance decided to attack Andreau rather than buy him off. But with Landis, the smart bet was probably money, especially since Landis seems quite committed to his family and probably needs the money.

However, I also think there is something in the whole peloton that keeps people quiet. Why, for example, did David Millar initally limit his admissions to himself? And why is carrying water for Lance now? Obviously, Lance was the chief enforcer of the peloton's doping Omerta, but it hasn't gone away now that he's retired. The culture of the sport remains deeply committed to cheating.

Last TT. Jan Falls, LA didn´t push harder anymore, Millar won the ITT.

Someone asked him about JU bad fortune and he says:

I knew when we started that he was going to fall because he was pushing to hard...

If Millar sticks to his promise to race clean then he doesn't stand a chance of competing on GC. I'm not saying that I think he doesn't have the potential but that I don't think anyone clean could compete against the likes of Astana/Disco/Illes B. He should concentrate on some of the Classics, perhaps MSR or LBL, maybe have a serious dig at Paris Nice first?
