Flavors for water

Uck...why not just add some Koolaid powder, it's the same diff...

That cran [censored] you speak of is not "juice" anyways, it's primary
ingredient is sugar water with some artificial [censored] flavorings...mebbe
apple juice as a base.

Might as well throw in a Fizzy, it's about the same thang...

bottles and mix in some Crystal Light but other than a hunk of real
lemon, orange or lime, I can't think of how else to flavor it up
"naturally" ??? What about dilute teas?

Good idea. . .I had a bottle of pomegranate juice, and tried some it
awhile ago. It was really good!

Fruit2-0 has a bit of sucrose in it. . .I love the stuff - especially
the Natural Peach and the Natural Cherry. I take it along to the
Health Center, when I swim laps.

Cranberry juice cocktail is generally 27% reconstituted cranberry
juice, water, HFCS, and some added vitamin C.

It costs a few cents a gallon to make. A tiny bit of Splenda or

You could try some extracts?
I've used small amounts of lemon and lime extract in water. It's not
bad, but I prefer the fresh squeezed.

I'll second the cranberry water notion!
I've always diluted cranberry juice at least 1 part water to 1 part
juice anyway, sometimes more.

I've tried a lot of flavorings but I find the juice of half a
lime in a glass of iced water to be my favorite. It adds just
enough interest to take away the temptation to have a beer if
you are concerned about weight. I don't like flavored water with
meals, however.

Bottled water is exactly the same as your very own tap water only it
comes from someone elses hose bib... you need a Reverse Osmosis
filter... cost less than a nickle a gallon.

I like to add citrus too but when I want something different I freeze
my RO water, shake with gin and strain off the ice... juniper flavored
water... for an extra flavor boost add an olive.

But consider that you simply got used to flavored water. I would bet you
could just as easily get used to water.

I see "infused" water in a lot of hotel lobbies these days. Basically, it
looks like a big water container with ice, fruit, and water. When you fill
your cup from the spigot, of course you don't get the fruit itself, but it
flavors the water nicely.

I often see lemon, lime, or orange slices. Strawberries are popular, too,
and probably my second favorite after lemon. I think grapefruit would be
good, but I don't recall having seen or tried it.

Maybe you could do something like that in a jar (like a sun-tea jar or
something) in your refrigerator? (I know you said you've squeezed lemons,
limes and oranges -- but maybe the strawberries and grapefruits would be
worth a shot.)

Torani Italian flavoured syrups are a standard mix with club soda, i buy
a 2 litter generic club soda, and add a splash of the Torini to a tall
glass of it.

If you get tired of drinking plain water, you can add 10% fruit juice to
a glass of water. Hispanics in our area do this, with apple juice,
orange juice, grape, watermelon, cantaloupe, grapefruits, lemons, limes.
Lemons and grapefruit are my favorite. You can sweeten your glass
with a little Splenda, honey or sugar, or you can drink it plain.
