Flat tyres suc....

What tyres? how much do you weigh? What pressures? Which roads do you ride on?

This must be the operator, what pump are you using and what pressure?

I had Vittorias on when I got the bike, now swapped to Serfas Seca, with FPS.

I weigh 75Kgs (Lbs ???)

Roads, well, I ride from near Penrith to Richmond (33kms) , and encounter every road surface possible.

Pump is a Blackburn airstick (new)

Preassure is about 120-125psi.

There all glass\sharp rock punctures.

I am not familiar with that pump so I just looked it up on the net. You should be checking the pressures with a gauge (on the pump), a floor pump is the way to start the day... 😎

well, its a cheap tool for measuring preassure. A calibrated thumb 🙄

Never had a prob on the MTB

On the MTB, no flats for 10 months. It copped a thrashing too. Including a 8 foot flat landing. (recommended max of 6 foot. Oops)

Have you checked that the rim tape is put on properly? ie no spoke holes exposed to cut your tube?

I agree that a thumb works well for MTB tyres, but I find it really hard to judge 23mm tyre pressure by thumb over about 70-80psi; it all feels similarly hard. Gauges are quite cheap.
