fitting a dog fang

It is installed on the seat tube with the tip pointed toward the small chain-ring. It should also be aliened with the small chain-ring restricting the travel so it won't come off leading to the dreaded 'chain suck'. (I would guess it comes with instructions on exactly were to install it).

Year I realise his Dog Fang would be "getting a bit long in the tooth by now"🙂 but this info could be of help to others.

If this thread hasn't died - I got a dog fang for my wife's Trek Pilot triple, but can't install it - the correct location is right where the fiber for the seat tube flares out for the BB. Not only is it very wide at that point, but the slope is 'up' the seat tube when I try to clamp it on, so it won't stay in place.

Any thoughts?

Thick tape splitting the clamp area will level it out and give it a grab
