wtf is wrong with you guys. Am I the only really happy long term married
person around? ( me and paladin? not to each other, but with good happy
    fun
marriages?) People keep asking how things are going
with Mr. Adventure and myself having offices 10 feet apart from each other
now. The standard reply is, "it's lots of fun when the kids are
    gone...".

You got that right, Penny. 20yrs last week. You and Mr. Adventure are
    great to watch together, too.

uh, did I miss something going on outside in the tent?...........

And its more fun, exciting (in every way) than it ever was. Our
anniv was last wed, and we'd already did a fun trip alone together this
summer, so we were just gonna make a day of it. Gave my wife some
choices, and she preferred that we uh, umm, just stay indoors for a few
hours. Wow, that was great. 8~D I mixed up a great concoction of
champagne and mtndew (they each served their purposes) lots of bedroom
treats, etc., and we celebrated our 20 yrs for a few hours with an
empty house (kids in school) and generally had a lot of fun the whole
    rest of the day.

Marriage: It's whatever you want to make of it. Why not make it
    wonderful??

Amy and I celebrated together with the kids........she got 6 great big rocks
for her fingers and, well, I got to pay for dinner, too..........The rest of
what happened that night is a secret :-)

Newbie. We're on 20 at Xmas. Lovin every minute, except my wife can
basically kick my *** at most everything we do. She's just smart
    enough to
let me win my fair share...

15 years of marriage in two weeks. Need I say more? {ball&chain.wav]

OK. If you want to throw in the dating, I had 8 years of that.

If you weren't seeing anybody else then you have to throw it in!

    Right.

And sometimes, that means having a joke or three. The inside jokes my
wife and I have in public are great fun for us.

And laughter is one of the main ingredients to a succesful marriage.

    E.P.

I totally agree about the laughter and inside jokes but...
IMSHO - I think making jokes at the expense of a spouse ( ie the old ball
and chain jokes) is poor form, especially in public. I believe it shows a
    basic lack of respect.

And in our case, you'd be wrong. We both know on which side our bread
is buttered, and having a few jokes between us, and in public, doesn't
    hurt anybody.

Now, if folks want to *infer* something from it, well, I can't stop
them. People come to conclusions without having all the facts. Just
    like you just did.

    E.P.

  5. LOL! Well, it's hard to find any hooch that doesn't put my girl to
sleep, or taste terrible to her, so I spiked it with mtndew and really
got lucky on that one. booze and caffeine, two major food groups
    together... heheh

that's just my 2¢ take it or leave it.

Ok, ok! I am sorry about the ball and chain joke. Wow! They are not
making these asbestos suits like they used too. It's way too hot in here.

You had an image of me? Do you carry it around in your wallet?? Just
keep pulling it out to remind you of your life quest to get over hear
and join us for an AMB-ID adventure. Kath would take to the redneck
life for a few days, too, I'll bet.

Still got a few years till I get there. Married at 22, turned 42 last
month. So far so good :-)
We've been together since we were 18 though, so way past the "half my
    life" point in that respect.

I use Mexican Coffee (con tequila y Kahlua) for that combo (the legal
speedball). I also recently had a coffee drink (forget what they called
it) at a fancy Italian place that was coffee with anisette and Grand
Marnier. That was really good too!

Awww man, don't reckon I'll ever be back to any decent riding way things are
going mate - the old bod is a bit of a mess I reckon.

Would love to visit anyway sometime, but the only thing more messed up than
me is the money! Heheheh... ',;~}~
