Look, I know next to nothing about bb'ing, but...

    160-odd lb, 5-10 and a 36"waist? 7 - 11% BF? I think not, my friend, with
respect. I'm 48, 5'10, 195 lb, with a 34" waist, and my bf is well into the
    high teens, I'd estimate.

    Roughly:
    70% waist
    35% neck, arms, calves
    60% thighs

    Percentages are of chest.

    Single-digit bodyfat percentage, too.

Wrong. Those numbers do NOT add up. How do you have a 36 inch waste and say
that you can see abs.... on top of that, you say you may be 7% body fat?
LOL!!!!! I'm ripped and I'm 7 percent. Like another poster said, you're
probably in the high teens, at best. But then you say you're 5'10" and 160?
My head hurts just trying to figure out what you must look like.

BTW, what is the average waist size of a 7-11% BF man?

    I can't tell you the average, but I'm 6', 175 and I'm at 30. So 36 just

I'm surprised you can wear Levis. I've seen photos of you and I didn't
think they made Levis for the likes of you. <g> You're why kilts were
    invented.

Seriously, that's what I was wondering about. If a man (or woman, I guess)
is heavy, but not big around, then they usually carry their weight in their
thighs (whether it's muscle or fat, so I guess this would apply to both men
and women) (which is not to say that there are not legly muscular women out
there, just that fat women tend to carry their fat lower than men, so the
thigh thing could be an issue for women as often as men, which I had not
considered when I started this sentence...now, where was I?)

If weight is being carried in the thighs, whether fat or muscle, then I
thought Levis didn't fit, regardless of the waist size.

    Am I making _any_ sense?

I couldn't wear jeans for years, but when they came out with relaxed fit
jeans and wide leg jeans I can start getting into them. Normally I still
buy a waist size larger, for comfort in my legs.

So you can't get into an original jean, but yeah, you can wear them now.

I'm wearing jeans in the shots Elzi took of our trail ride.

I have disproportionately short legs... aka Fred Flinstone syndrome 🙂
    I have a 30" inseam. I can't wear slim fits...I find straight legs a

Why would short legs make you....ah, I think I get it. You're as big as a
taller guy, but the shorter legs make it seem disproportional.

Now, Keith went and offered up a jpeg without any prompting. I think you

I do have wide shoulders / wide back...don't get me wrong...I also have
some spare tissue shall we say 🙂 My point was that jean waist size is
not a good or accurate measure.

Sorry...no jpegs to offer. I neither have a digital camera nor am I
prone to taking or having pictures taken of myself (or anything for
that matter). I was in London, UK for six months...took less than 10
