I use Avid mechs on my rear wheel. Garden-variety cable and the out-of-the-box
Avid pads work fine for me.

Be attentive to alignment/adjustment and try not to get any oil/grease from your
hands on the pads or rotors.

GREAT STUFF!

Standard out cables will do, no need for full metal jacket.
Stock pads are fine (squeal when wet...no big deal) Excellent stopping
power and modulation! 1 finger breaking!

My rotors happen to be 165mm work great!

EASY setup ... childs play, read the directions or download them from
Avid and then read them.

Be sure to observe the caution about not having too much unused cable
protruding. Others have reported getting it jammed in brakes with very bad
