My V brake adaptors came in the post today from Unicycle.com, so I
looked out my old V brakes, some new pads, and fitted them to my Kris
Holm XC 24.
I was out for about half an hour on my lunch break, and managed to fit
in a couple of steep short hills to test the brake on. There is a short
steep hill in some woods near home, and I just manage to unicycle down
it, maybe about one out of six attempts, but today, once I got used to
it, I was able to unicycle down with a bit of control, and cleared it
every second time.
I am looking forward to trying it out on some local hill tracks where
there are some very long, very steep hills, the last time I was there,
my legs were really tired after a while, I had to have a break, so I am
keen to see how I get on again.
I ordered a new seat post for my 20" uni as well, it has been cut down
to size, and the uni cleaned up ready for my ten year old daughter to
start learning.
Could be a good summer.
