    Got my new steed all sorted out so Robyn (11yr old Daughter and I) went out
    this afternoon for my first ride in 16 months

    Rode up to the other side of the village and back. A whole 2km including
    one very gentle uphill, Robyn couldn't keep up

    coming back down though :-) . Now I'm completely knackered with aching arms
    but a big grin !

    Being out in the sun going more than 4mph was a huge huge thrill though

    Now that's fantastic. I know it's early but how does it ride?

    Needs setting up properly - I'm too close to the cranks and need to give
    them more room over my legs but it's fully adjustable for fettling. All
    things considered it rides surprisingly well. The 19mm tri wheels might have
    something to do with that :-)

    Only 2km - you woos.

    Still - always good to half-wheel someone - even if under 12!

    It's a very pretty machine. Is it difficult to steer and pedal at the same
    time? And what about braking? Looks like a lot of co-ordination is needed.
    Bet it's good fun though - and it's great that you're back in the saddle.

    Nice one! Shame your reasons for Going Dark were as traumatic as they
    were, but Grin Factor 9 is Grin Factor 9... :-)
