My opinion: don't worry about what the doctor believes. However, push
whatever doctor you deal with to be aggressive on issues that are important
to you. If he/she isn't or won't be, then move on.
Why was your blood sugar high on your last visit? You're a type 2, right?
If it was high, was a result of your cycling? And, if so, was your visit
after fasting overnight? I don't know what you mean about your high BG being
an anomaly. There is no anomalies as far as BG is concerned. If it's high,
that means something and is just not some freak condition.
You have to remember that a lot of doctors are very used to dealing with
people that don't have good control of BGs. They get used to talking and
talking but having patients not listen. You need to tell your doctor that
this is very important to you and that you want more aggressive treatment,
but also be willing to follow through.
