    Anyone else impressed by McEwen trying to elbow his way into the green jersey? I guess they let it
    stand because he lost.

    I don't know why he tried that. Since Cooke was ahead, contact would impede McEwen more than Cooke.

    Actually it was Cookey doing the weaving and leaning - Robbie was just trying to get around him. I
    think they both knew Robbie was faster if he could get a clear run. But having said all that, I
    agree with Phil, Paul, and the judges that it was a clean sprint. Were you just trolling?

    In the run up to the line, McEwen looks over, finds Cooke, and starts heading his way and then
    pushes into him.

    Davide Cassani's analysis was that he realized he wasn't beating him, so he did that intentionally.

    We triathletes aren't used to contact - we're not even allowed within 7 bike lengths of each other for gawd's sake!
    I think it was 6 of one and half a dozen of the other anyway.

    And they both lost out for the Stage anyway - poetic justice?

    I pointed that out as it was happening. Funny thing is that I was replaying the 2002 DVD and was
    watching McEwen and he was doing the same damned thing there too. If it's going to be close he comes
    at you in an effort to take your attention off of what you're doing.

    If you want to beat McEwen all you have to do is go hard from 300 meters.
