Just enough DHEA is a good thing.
Increases strength and is good for attitude and Libido.
Too much had me climbing the walls and I almost quit my job........
HORRIBLE mood swings.

Om
I'm glad you've conquered any problem with DHEA. I haven't noticed any
mood
swings here.
I don't like even being a little bit nervous.
Dee Dee
It was more than just nervous.... ;-)
Think serious PMS, then triple it.
And blame the world.
I might have a genetic pre-disposition to "'roid rage".
Excess DHEA in females is converted to Testosterone. Not so in men.
That's why I was doing it. It helped a LOT in weight lifting and I
still have arm veins from hell now, but it was not worth the emotional
hell. I increased my deadlift from 90 lbs. to 160 lbs. in only 5 weeks.
I only did it for about 1 month or so. 100 mg per day is supposed to be
the max for females in my age group. I'm 44.
I was doubling that.
Bad idea. <G>
The trick was in realizing what was doing it. That's not easy when you
are being irrational and there are outside stressors adding to the mess.

Om
Thanks for sharing a 'somewhat similar' story to mine.
Ten years ago I was 61. I was hiking, trying to bike a little, doing some
Tai Chi & Qi Gong, Treadmill, minor weight-lifting (no more than 10 #,
because I am by nature very frail). I got a book on DHEA, read a little bit
more, and decided to take some -- it was minimal at the time, as I recall.
I think that the daily requirement number has lowered since then, but I
haven't kept up on it.
It was not very long that I started swelling in the "bra department," and
not long after that that I discovered THE LUMP! Well, the rest is history.
Probably the cancer was already there, and perhaps the DHEA caused it to go
on a rampage; but one will never know. But, it did make me feel like a
million dollars for a short while.
Best of health,
Dee Dee
