    During the pre-race warmup I was just sort of following a guy around the circuit. Apparently he
    didn't like someone on his wheel so he rode right between a couple of huge potholes that hadn't been
    there the previous week. There was only one tire width between them and I was over to the side a
    bike. Broke both of my $300 wheels. But I'm sure that he felt very proud of himself.

    In my first Cat 4/5, I started swerving out of control in the second corner and took out 3 riders
    before I crashed myself.

    I crashed into a dumpster on turn one of the penultimate lap of the Giro di San Francisco (Labor
    Day) crit (1998).

    I overcooked it and ended up under the can.
