FWIW I only feel that way if I VO2max for more than 8 minutes or eat within 90 minutes of a TT.

if you ride and don't drink any water, do you still get the feeling?
(short ride perhaps)

have you checked inside your drink bottles? Sometimes you can get some nasty stuff growing in them. If so get new bottles.

You might have a stomach bug FWIW I just recently tried doing a 20 minute TT and only made it to 12 minutes. Two days later my wife was sick it might be the water. At times the city water might be high in bacteria. A new condo building went up and they did something with the water pipes that got air and who knows what else in the pipes. Our water has been fizzy lately and the water dept said the new development had something to do with it. I suspect they tested a fire sprinkler pump that put a negative pressure on some sections of town at higher elevations. I didn't get noticably sick but saw a difference in my TT I do put a cap full of raw vinegar in a glass of water every morning I don't know if that helped reduce the severity of it but it might have.
