  1. Well hell. I've gone through 2, count 'em, 2 root canals
this month. Today's dental appointment has been the worst so
far, as far as residual pain goes. I have finally woken up
after a long snooze, and I'm dunking Blue Bunny Bomb Pops in
7-up. It is fabulous. What's your favorite food after a
    dental experience?

This is a no-brainer: Whatever you can eat on the opposite
side of your mouth. Or see the thread "Food ideas for
    injured son".

I prefer pills. Percodans, Darvocet, and/or Lortab. You'll
manage to eat whenever your hungry. There is no such thing
as favorite foods after dental work.

    Oh Michael, my sympathies!

I haven't had a root canal in nearly a month (!) and my
favorite post-procedure nosh is a good ol' Blue Raspberry
Icee. I think that this flavor should available wherever
Icees are sold, and should be the only Icee flavor one can
    ALWAYS count on finding.

sounds good to me, the last year I owned the 24/7 store I
needed to have lots of dental work done...root canals,
temporary plates...you know the drill....I had not had a
Slurpee in at least 15 years....but they were sure good and
cold on the sore spots...flavor didn't really matter, just
the coolness from the ice and carbonation.

Last time I had a root canal, doc sent me home with a pint

This reminds me of '99 when I broke my jaw (and badly bit my
tongue as part of the deal) playing ultimate frisbee. For 6
weeks I couldn't eat solid food. My particular favorites,
and probably 90% of my caloric intake, were fruit smoothies
(from the now-defunct Crazy Carrot chain in Minneapolis) and
beer (tasted good, nice carb level, and helped with the
    swelling).

Some of my friends in frisbee had a cookout a few weeks
after my injury, and make me a fresh grilled bratwurst
    *smoothie*. Now that was disgusting.

The next to last time I went to the dentist I had rose
flavored ice cream from Sukhadia, an Indian snack shop on
Devon Avenue in Chicago. (The last time I went they had
    stopped selling ice cream.)

What in hell is that? I've got Vicoden in the medicine
