No, I don't think so. I think the irony must have passed you by, but I
was using the same terminology as in the article. Did you read the

That at least is true. I'm *still* waiting for the equivalent newspaper
article decrying the behaviour of motorists:

"They jump red lights, park all over the pavement, most of the young
drivers have no tax or insurance, they drive with no consideration for
other road users and think they own the roads." I think that is about
as generalised and inaccurate as the original article - perhaps I should
expand it a bit and sent it to the Sun. :-)

Why bother to proselytise? Let him find out what life is like as a
cyclist by cycling. His column/rant is impervious to reason, as it was
not founded on reason. Forget that article, it's old and is lining
litter trays alongside similar nonsense from Littlejohn etc. I prefer
to trash his medium - the Scum/Mail etc are contemptible whether
talking about cycling, immigration or the Iraq war.

Even after he has observed the selfishness of drivers, and perhaps been
knocked off by a left-turning overtaker, I'm not expecting to hear him
denounce any of them on Talk Radio (if I listened to it, bleh), or
promote cycling. Why this is so, makes a more interesting discussion.

We can dismiss this what it is, an absolutely [censored] item written for the
gutter press. That's the simple truth.
Trouble is this awful "paper" sells a million plus every day and some clowns
will use this type of writing as further justification to continue to treat
us badly.
No wonder things don't improve for us. Perhaps if we were allowed to carry
Kalashnikovs respect might follow?

mostly on a par with the original article, but I think the final two
points are fair comment. ;o)
