I tried to go shopping yesterday. Was hoping to find a few new dressy
shirts for work, especially when I go out on road trips visiting customers.
I went to Lane Bryant, which is where I usually have the most luck finding
tops that fit me (and long sleeves that are actually long enough). Had no
luck. Apparently, even the smallest size they carry is now too large (sort
of) for me. I tried on over a dozen different style shirts, specifically
looking for "stretchy" ones and some that looked tailored in at the waist.
I don't want to buy a new shirt that is baggy around my midsection. I want
to wear clothing that actually fits my figure.
Unless it's a t-shirt, I haven't had much luck finding clothes in regular
stores that provide enough room for my chest unless they, too, are
ridiculously baggy around my waist.
I have a shrinking waist and I want to see it when I look in the mirror!
So I'll just continue wearing my altered tie-in-the-back shirts that I have
been, since they're the only thing that cinches at the waist while still
allowing room for my chest. Maybe if I lived in England I would have better
luck shopping for clothing. 🙁
