It's now called 'British Cycling' which is a pretty [censored] name IMO as it doesn't indicate the
competitive sporting nature of the organisation.

Reading the web page they have on 'leisure' cycling is amusing:
Under 'Commuting' they say:
'Yes, believe it or not, thousands of people ride their bikes to work every day. '
Well slap me with a wet kipper !!!

cyclists.' (then stuff about Forest Enterprise paths etc.)
They also have something called 'Trail riding' - which is just more stuff about touring.
I dunno if the person who wrote it actually knows anything about cycling but they seem to know
nothing about cycling beyond the sport arena
