I've been lurking here about a week, and looking for a Frequently Asked Questions post. Have I missed it, or is there a web page to go to?
My question is probably simple to answer anyway... I wanted to know the difference in training for strength and training for mass or bulk. If you want to build bulk, what do you do?

Eat. Lift. Eat. Sleep.
HTH.
So you won't get different results by doing different #'s of reps, just as long as you challenge your muscles?
I thought there were some guidelines to use according to your goal like the most weight you can lift with good form 3-4 times will build strength, the most weight you can lift 5-8 times will build mass, and 10-15 times will build endurance or something like that.

Yes, there are. But of course it is never as simple as that.
If you are interested in hypertrophy may I suggest hypertrophy specific training? Abbreviated HST.

For bulk you need extra calories to add muscle whenever your body requires the nutrients. I train very similar off-season but each more red meat, chicken, rice. This allows my body to rebuild more often and quicker. However pre-contest Im concerned only about losing fat...so I limit my food intake...and therefore dont gain muscle. My reps vary from 3-15 reps all year...but the rest periods before a contest are reduced to 30-45 seconds...this burns fat and replaces some of my cardio time on the bike. I judge my recuperation and strength by how sore I am. Off-season with the extra calories and heavy weights and longer rests I get very sore but stronger over the months...becuase Im moving more weight. Pre-contest Im moving faster with less weight but more exercises....so the body doesnt build muscle on restricted diets or faster paced workouts.
