Anyone writing or written a school travel plan for a primary school? Any thoughts appreciated.
Also, I've more or less offered to run a family cycling event at school next spring. I thought I
could get my mate Bob along to do Dr Bike, have the family triplet and some friends with trailer
bikes, trailers and child seats, maybe get a local bike shop to do some demo kit. I was also going
to write to Robin Thorn and ask for the loan of a Voyager Childback, which is a hugely impressive
machine - once ridden forever smitten kind of thing.
I thought we could have a slow bicycle race and a few other things, and I considered for a moment a
"helmet shy" where you throw stones at coconuts wearing helmets, but then I thought about painting
Angela Lee's face on them and it all got a bit out of hand, so scratch that one...
Anyone got any good ideas for amusing events with a cycling theme for children aged 5 - 11?
I reckon it could be a laugh. If I get my act together for a change.
