The meadow may be dead for the year, but the trees are alive with color:

Too large of a contrast in shades and too far away for an effective flash. Regardless, Kevin makes
hopping off of a log look easy: gallery.consumerreview.com092903008.jpg

    Charles gets a bit-o-air: gallery.consumerreview.com092903013.jpg

    More boring 'ol singletrack: gallery.consumerreview.com092903014.jpg

    Color explosion: gallery.consumerreview.com092903009.jpg

To everything there is a season, turn:

Either coppin' a squat, or just enjoying the view:

A quick stop for a peek over the edge:

The payoff section, two miles of rip-roaring technical in the dark forest:

Riding off into the colors until next year's display:

Very nice. Fossil Ridge yesterday was pretty spectacular too. Too bad the only one who brought a
camera broke her arm (but I think she got a few pics in beforehand).

Ouch. I went up-valley to ride a classic yesterday. The trail was so fun, I only stopped once and
snapped a quick pic even though it was very colorful. The first few miles of this trail were pretty
hacked by the barney patrol, but the "tail" miles of this out & back were beyond cool. Afterwards,
some seafood gumbo at The Bayou in Glenwood, accompanied by Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout were a nice
    capper to the day.

Is it just me or does this pic remind you of a modern day journey a la Lord of The Rings?

    Frodo, Merry, Pippin....where's Sam.
