Well, some of you know I am floating out there trying to eat a so-called
balanced diet. You know, the one the government tells us is good. Well, I
can't seem to really get it under control. This Monday, I started LC to get
10 lbs off and yesterday I took a trip to Buffalo. I ate a hot dog with bun
and some wings. I had no problem with that, because it was a sort of
tribute to my mum who passed last year and lived in Buffalo for part of her
childhood. Anyway, when the real trouble began was at night. A friend
called and asked if I wanted to go out and have a beer. At first I said no,
knowing that beer is a problem for me. Then after a while, I ended up
having one. It turned into three beers. That isn't that bad, but I hadn't
had dinner yet. So, I ate some onion rings. Then a large slice of pizza.
Then I had Galibakuliko or how ever you pronounce or spell the Greek custard
with puff pastries and a honey-like sauce.
I couldn't get to sleep last night, due to all the sugar. My body was
vibrating. Not sure if anyone here has experienced that after eating too
much sugar, but it is not pleasant when you want to sleep.
I can't seem to handle maintaining on another diet very well. I am around
188-9 right now, but would really want to get down to 180. I am running and
riding my bike, but not enough. I am missing multiple days and eating too
much food. I guess the bottom line is, I just eat too much as my norm.
When I was a kid, I could eat so much food, it was amazing, but as I get
older (39), it gets harder it seems. I still just eat way too much food.
Anyway, I am back on Induction today. I need to drop the 10 and try again.
If I could just eat in moderation, I am sure I can eat what I want to a
point, but it is true cravings are higher when you eat carbs. It is
something that I must get used to if I want to eat all types of food. It is
important to me to be able to eat all types because I am really a food
lover. I love to try all types of food.
So I am back here with you good folks. Hope everyone is doing well. At
least I didn't get way out of control being that I am just 10 over.
Take care,
Curt
