Note the newsgroups listed above. The only cycling group is ARBR. NYC is
trying to fob me off on other newsgroups, but that will never work. I am at
home here on ARBR and I do not have any intention of ever leaving, although
I may take an infinite number of final farewells just to clear the air and
put all the ARBR blockheads in their proper place - which is infinitely
    below me.

It is far, far better to a be big frog like Ed Dolan the Great in little
pond like ARBR than to be a little frog in a big pond like NYC. I believe
there ought to be a law against any and all cross-posting. It is ever the
true hallmark of a troll for sure.

  4. Yes! We are a racist society, and we must constantly address this
issue, as the denial of racism allows the "Reppublicans" to spread
white power under the guise of equality.

For instance, the insistence on abolishing affirmative action has only
served to make the colleges more monochromatic, and lately, strictly
    upper class.

I can't believe any rational person thinks a system of Chinese monarchy
works, but American Republicans aen't known for their intellect.

Victories are only temporary when men continue to fight with their
    fists.

Your previous message appeared as an original post on ARBR. Therefore top
posting was not an issue. If it were, I would have called it to your
    attention.

Although dumb cross-posting is ever the hallmark of a troll, top-posting is
ever the hallmark of an idiot. Congratulations! It appears that you are
both. Why not find yourself a really dumb newsgroup that will appreciate all
    of your many stupidities.

    Q.E.D.
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Jump to: navigation, search
For other meanings of the abbreviation "QED", see QED (disambiguation).
Q.E.D. is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase "quod erat demonstrandum"
(literally, "which was to be demonstrated"😉. This is a translation of the
Greek ???? ???? ?????? (hóper édei deixai) which was used by many early
mathematicians including Euclid and Archimedes. Q.E.D. may be written at the
end of mathematical proofs to show that the result required for the proof to
be complete has been obtained. It is not seen as frequently now as in
    earlier centuries.

    [edit]
    Modern-day usage
End-of-proof symbolism in the present day is often the symbol ? (solid black
square) called the tombstone, or the Halmos symbol (after Paul Halmos who
pioneered its use). The tombstone is sometimes open; ? (hollow black
square). Another simple way of stating that the proof is complete is to
simply write "proven" or "shown" in parentheses after the final step of the
proof, or to draw two forward slashes (//).

Unicode provides the "End of Proof" character U+220E (?), but also provides
U+25A0 (?, black square) and U+2023 (?, triangular bullet) as alternatives.

    [edit]
    Variations on the abbreviation
In English speaking countries the letters have been humorously interpreted
as "Quite Easily Done" or, occasionally, "Quite Eloquently Done", or "Quite
Enough Done", "Quite Elegantly Done". Other humorous expansions in the
context of mathematical proofs are "Question Every Detail" or "Question
Every Deduction", suggesting that the reader should check that the proof is
indeed correct as claimed, or "Qualitatively Extracted Deduction."

There exists another Latin phrase, with a slight difference in meaning, but
a similar, if less common usage. Quod erat faciendum translates into English
as "Which was to be done." This is usually shortened to Q.E.F.. As with
Q.E.D., Q.E.F. is a translation of the Greek geometers' closing oper edei
poihsai. Euclid used this phrase to close propositions which were not
precisely "proofs", but rather constructions for example.

Incidentally, some people prefer to use the more tongue-in-cheek WWWWW or W5
which stands for the English "Which Was What Was Wanted." or "Which Was What
    We Wanted."

    [edit]
    Popular usage
In the 1987 American movie "No Way Out," the character Scott Pritchard
(played by actor Will Patton) concludes an explanation of his character's
power and ability to effect a solution inherent to the movie's story line
with the phrase "quod erat demonstrandum".

In The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams hypothesises a
dialogue between Man and God concerning whether a creature, the babel fish,
which allows anyone who places it in their ear to understand any language,
is too useful to have evolved purely by chance and therefore must have been
    divinely created.

GOD: "I refuse to prove that I exist, for proof denies faith and without
    faith I am nothing."

MAN: "But the babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It proves you exist
and so therefore you don't. Q.E.D."

GOD: "Oh dear; I hadn't thought of that."

Whereupon he promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

Yeah, but my 'bent is better than yours!

There can only be one Great One on a newsgroup. Sorry, but you are a Johnny
come lately. It may be that when I retire from my endeavors here on ARBR
that you can take my place, but you have to have a killer instinct. Without
that, you will be of no use to the regular members as they require someone
who knows how to wield a whip to keep them in their places, which of course
it goes without saying (but I love to say it anyway) is infinitely lower
    than me.

I am simply overwhelmed by my own Greatness. It is all relative of course.
If I were associating with my peers (few and far between though they may be)
instead of my inferiors (99.99% of mankind) the discrepancy would not be so
striking. But my Greatness extends beyond mere excellence. It is also a holy
Greatness. That is why I am known far and wide in these parts as Saint
Edward the Great. Like Our Blessed Virgin Mary, I am planning to ascend into
Heaven without having to go through the bother of dying. Stay tuned as the
great event may transpire any day now.

You offer a link without any proper introduction, you troll many
    newsgroups
and, the greatest abomination of all, you top-post. Since I never do any
    of
those things, you can be sure I won't bother with someone who does. All I
would ever get for going to a link of yours is most likely a virus since
that is the kind of guy you are.
