My thoughts exactly, especially as you can pick them up brand new for
less than the price minus postage at most of the cycle shows.

It doesn't have to say its copyrighted. Copyright is automatic. You
appear to have lifted both the picture, the text and the MBR review &
its layout verbatim. That is an infringement of copyright

Still £3.99 inc post for a repaired used inner tube which is expensive.
I buy them in 10's new and pay £2.50ea.

Good idea. You appear to only come here to advertise your auctions.
How about contributing to those topics relevant to cycling and not using
it just for your adverts? At least the "contributors" above contribute
substantially and don't hide their identities either.

Unless explicitly stated on a web site, images on the internet, or anywhere
else for that matter, are best assumed to be copyrighted. An image's
appearance on more than one site does not in itself demonstrate that the
image is copyright free it may indicate a willingness of more than one web
site to breach copyright law.. I suggest that you appraise yourself of
copyright law before appropriating more images for your merchandising and
seek permission and/or acknowledge the source of your image(s) before using

Perhaps someone who lives on Iona, saying that though I would be very
surprised if it was not possible to get a brand new tube on-line for the
same price. Can't blame the guy for trying though. To the OP let us
know if you sell it.

I don't think it's so terrible nicking a picture for a common small item
like that (I've done it myself), but you shouldn't be surprised that
people are having a laugh over the idea of paying £3.99 for a used patched
tube.

Kind of away. My home computer broke for a while and I had a shortish term

Er... butt out? You posted an advert for an auction (Which isn't... "Buy
It Now" is not an auction!) for a ridiculously overpriced product. EBC
sell the same product brand new for only 50p more. You are offering a
three times repaired inner tube which you have advertised here and don't
expect to be ridiculed?

The "contributers" to this thread are having fun, and hopefully drawing
attention to a potential bad buy for any lurkers who are not so well
versed in buying bicycle spares. They also generally contribute to other
equally relevant topics (Although I will freely admit to indulging in
the occasional OT argument! ;-) ).

Unless you can provide some justification for your actions (Patches made
of gold?) I think that we are entitled to poke fun. Sorry. That's life
"default".

Funnily enough I've just come in from having a few drinks with a
musician who told me he was about to throw out several boxes of sheet
music and theatre programs going back to the early 60's. I didn't
mention that I'd just seen someone try to sell patched inner tubes, but
I did offer to eBay them on his behalf, or at least show him how to get
started. I suspect some of his junk will turn out to be extremely rare
and collectible.
