A slightly rusty but good set of Ivanko dumbbells for some California MFW'er- no connection to seller - I have this type, they stay pretty tight, they're a pleasure to use.
Interesting assortment: 8-25 pounders, and 80-125 pounders. Sounds like the prior owner was a big strong [censored] and his hot little fitness competitor girlfriend. He was spending more and more time at the gym, spending all the spare money on importing various drugs, and she got tired of being ignored, especially when he would rather look at himself in the mirror than at her, so she finally hooked up with the manager of the local health food store and left the big guy all alone. He got depressed when his shipment got seized by Customs, and, left with no social support system, committed suicide.
But, a little rust can be cleaned off, so, it's a good deal.
I figured he was selling the ones he knew he couldn't ever lift as well as those he was tired of lifting.

That could be, Paul, but IT'S BORING, PAUL, BORING!!
Maybe the 30-75 pounders were involved in an unfortunate interdemensional teleportation experiment that went wrong...
David
What makes you think it went "wrong"? Could be it worked as planned but they neglected to plan for the return trip?

Doubtful. More likely, the interdimensionally teleported dumbbells ended up on a planet inhabited by nine spacial dimension beings, where the dumbbells' apparently magical appearance caused a revolution in their religious beliefs, leading to a civil war and utter destruction of their civilization.
