Out of the ones that you list, I think I'd prefer the Hendre
Farm site as it seems to be the most basic.

My requirements for an organised site are : toilet; shower;
drinking water and, preferably, a local pub which sells
proper beer and serves food.

There is a simple-looking site at Bryn Tirion Farm,
Dolwyddelan, nr Betws-y-Coed according to: croeso-croeso-Open ↗
betws.org.uk/acc/camp/tirion2.htm. I don't know it
persnally, though.

Does anyone actually know any local sites? It's so
difficult to get a feel for a place when you have only seen
it on a website.

You're probably the only one of us who's actually been
there. How many children are there going? If it's only mine
they can do without things like that - it won't kill them.
Actually, TBH, I don't really know if I like the sound of
it. I vote for somewhere quieter. I'd like toilets and
showers, and water for drinking and washing up in. Other
than that I'm not really bothered.

Some idiot decided to smash his car into the back of mine,
possibly written it off and given me whiplash (and made me
miss most of the England/Portugal match).

If this pain does not go before the planned expedition w/e,
I may have to give it a miss.

However, someone just needs to ring the basic site near B-y-
C and check whether they have room for half-a-dozen Pro-
Action tents.

Bad luck Martin, hope it mends properly, there can be long
term effects. My lady friend got £3000 out of my Insurance
co. when I wrote off my car and ruined her hair-do, so I
hope you are suing.

She had several weeks of massage at BUPA thrown in and
fortunately her neck is 100%.
