Tonight The Unfit Family cycled over to CCB club night in Shipdham. Coming back was the first chance I've had to cycle in the dark - thus testing out use of 2 x Cateye HL-EL300 lights. I'm pleased. Those two, combined with the helmet mounted LED provide a useful amount of light in the gathering gloom of unlit country lanes in rural Norfolk. I even managed to pootle faster than I normally do when pootling in the dark. Indeed, we were a well-lit lot. Nathan has 2 x Cateye HL-EL300 lights on the front of his bike, a very bright rear light and is swathed in reflectives. Vernon has 1 x Cateye HL-EL300 light and a bog-standard BS front light, plus rear light & wears reflectives. I had 2 x Cateye HL-EL300 lights, front flashing LED, helmet mounted static LED, *bright* rear LED lights (static), bog-standard BS rear light, oodles of reflectives, front, side & rear of bike, and also on self. So if there are any reports of UFOs in Norfolk - it's only us :-)
