In my local rag; Evans at Gatwick is having a clearout 4-9.10.03. It is their main warehouse as
well, been a bit quiet since they opened their Crawley store. Don't get your hopes up but if in the
area might be worth a look. (iexpect I will find the half price frame I got there 2 months ago is
now quarter price!)

like the York or Mildenhall rallies.Tony

Nothing wrong with a bit of cynicism when it comes to Evans. Why else do they give out 10%
off vouchers? -

More fool you lot - there are some real bargains at these selloffs.

Reality is probably that prices will be "down" to the level of the usual LBS deals available all
the year round.I dunno...I bought a Cannondale M1000 from them years ago for £750 when the RRP was £1250. I'm still
not sure if it was worth £750, but it was a good price for a nearly-top-of-the-line Cannondale at
that time. However, I have to say that the canti brake pads slipped right through the eye bolts first time I
tried to stop (it came mail order) and frankly the thing had been screwed together by a monkey. -

I called in today at 1500. Still wall to wall bikes, which I was not after. The frame I got 2 months
ago was now £50 more. All the component boxes were almost claered out. A few good bargains eg deore
xt discs, shox, clothing. As I said in the OP, if you're in the area, or even if you want to take a
ride there with a couple of free hours (i didn't have much time) have a look, certainly if you're
after a bike. They have opened a whole marquee opposite to fit it all in. -

checkout I gave up. The staff seemed more interested in making sure you kept to the stupidly long
routes in and out of the tent than taking your money.I later ordered the 2004 version of the same Altura garments for the same price on Wiggle. And the
postage was free.--

if they reduce anything further.
