it´s my first pst in this forum after just reading for a good while and I start right away with a problem.
When downloading from my Ergomo Pro to ErgoRacer 2.0 (same as WKO+ 2.0), the download often freezes. The Ergomo is regognized by the PC, I can change settings and start the download. The problem can occur randomly between 1 and 70% of the download. I´m using the newest firmware on my Egomo and the official USB-serial adapter. Has anyone encountered the sam problem and can help me out?

HI Tobi ealy justify spendind the amount required to p I have been looking to purchase a power measuring device and cant realy justify the amount needed to buy SRM CRANKS. I came across the ergomo it looks reasonable on the surface but I am worried if the software is recognized by windows xp. I bought a phone recently and when downloading it often freezes or the computer just wont recognize it. That is why I would like some feed back on the ergomo before I purchase. Have you solved your issues yet?

I can't speak for Franki, but I've been running an Ergomo Pro on a Windows XP Pro machine Service Pack 2 with no issues once I got a USB/Serial adapter. Beats me why a $1500 device uses an obsolete RS-232 interface but other than that it works fine. The Ergomo is great and its run time features like real time and average power both displayed during intervals as well as real time NP, TSS and IF display are great. The documentation is lousy but it's not too hard to figure out. I didn't have any calibration problems but it seems others have. That is to say; the power seems accurate as compared to ergs based on RPE and a friend's PowerTap but otherwise I'm guessing, it's certainly close enough and repeatable enough to help my training and pace my time trials.

I haven't had any download problems since getting the adapter, but one thing not mentioned in the manual is that you have to activate the Ergomo unit by pressing one of the buttons IOW you have to wake it up from its sleep mode before Cycling Peaks will see the device. The fact that the unit displays characters including the logo and time of day while sleeping makes it seem as though it's "on" but until you hit a button you get com port errors out of Cycling Peaks. That one threw me for a while when I first got mine.
Unfortunately no. I was told that it could be the WLAN in the area but deactivating it did not affect the problem. Yesterday I had contact with the German support and they told me that someone in Italy faced the same problem, but they did not come arount with much help. So I will give it a try on my notebook, but therefore I will have to get my software key resetted first.
I installed ErgoRacer 2.0 on my notebook and the download went fine. It seems like either the hardware, software environment or the surrounding infrastructure did the job. Now I will take my notebook home to see if WLAN, phone or whatever affected the download.
