catlike said:can You share with some example (reciept) of own mixed juice drink (do You add sugar or salt)
Mine is:
1/2 orange (aprox.60 ml) 4 tablespoons of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1 litre water
I am not sure how effective this drink is compare to comercial energy drinks since i never used them. But i have been told that it is not efective enough and i shoud switch to powerbar or somethig like that. I am not sure coud it be so much better or I need it as i do ride only about 6-7 hours weekly. Can anybody compare home made energy drinks with comercial ones- how much better are they.
I NEVER add sugar or salt since there is plenty of sugar already in the fruits themselves.
anyways, here are some recipes:
Wheatgrass Energy Drink:
1 handful of wheatgrass
1 handful of spinach
1 spear of pineapple
Post Workout Power Punch:
1 lemon
1 orange
1 pear
1 apple
5 large broccoli florets
Lunch in a Glass:
1 papaya
1 kiwi
1/2 head of cabbage
2 celery stalks
1 broccoli head
Power Punch:
2 cups kale
2 cups parsley
1 cup spinach
1 medium apple
3 celery stalks
1/2 green bell pepper or
4 celery stalks
1/2 cucumber
1/2 cup spinach
1 medium apple
1/2 green bell pepper
Energy Boost:
1 carrot
1 celery stalk w/leaves
1 beet root
few leaves of parsley
lew leaves of lettuce
few leaves of watercress
few leaves of spinach
3 tomatoes
and for my skin, everyday I always drink one glass of
1 english cucumber
few handfuls of baby carrots of 2 long carrots

If you need to sweeten any of the recipes, just add an apple.
