Damn how could I have forgotten about Julich............he kicked ass today and beat everyone with his 50,5 km/h average!!!!!!!!!

2) E. dekker
3) Hoste (musette wake up!!!!!!)
4) T. dekker (best younger rider)
Afterwards Julich said he was sure that he could beat Verbrugge he was more looking to the 2 dekkers..........and that was the eneco tour.........it will be a long long evaluation...............!!!!

MJtje -- And now, moving to my usual quote regarding DC. Here is what Demol said before the ITT stage, on thepaceline:

"On Wednesday's time trial, Demol said - "In order to win, I'm afraid Jurgen just isn't strong enough at this point to really push the big gear that will be needed for such a flat time trial. Yet, I think a top five finish for him may be possible and maybe even the podium. And with Leif at 40 seconds, he's done some pretty good time trials in the past and he's in very good shape so you never know."

It's interesting that Hoste was at one point named on thepaceline as one of the 11 remaining riders being considered for the Tour (after Eki was injured, and including LA). He and Joachim were obviously the back-ups, but that is a not insignificant backup being earned. So Hoste is well-liked within DC. Bruyneel said he would start the Vuelta.
