Just had my first weigh in and I'm down 3.8 pounds. Granted
I didn't have anything to eat today before the weigh-in
(just how my day went) but I'm wearing approximately the
same thing so I'm going to go ahead and count every darn bit
of that weight as lost.
Went out to dinner after the weigh-in and thought I made
smart choices with a (little bit of frill since I used
almost no flex points last week). It's ridiculous how many
points a regular meal out costs you! We went to Spuds and I
used my little book to help look up the points. Since Spuds
isn't listed, I used the points for Dennys dishes since they
are the same type of restaurant and probably cook very
similarly. Treated myself to a little bit of dessert and
only had a few bites of it to feel treated.
Thoughts on the first week -
Looking back, I didn't have any chocolate this week! That
never happens. I literally felt the need for chocolate EVERY
DAY before but I had no problem skipping it this week. I did
enjoy angel food cake when I needed a treat since it's only
2 points per slice (and the slices are pretty generous). Oh,
wait, day one I had a Smart Ones chocolate mousse. Still
pretty damn good for me!
I should have bought the intro packet last week that comes
with the food points book and the dining out guide. Got it
now so I don't have to manually calculate Pizza Hut.
Speaking of Pizza Hut, set aside an evening to splurge on
pizza and wings for poker night. By ordering the fit and
delicious veggie pizza and calculating the wings, I ended up
not eating enough points that day!
Was running late for work one day so I skipped my stop to
get coffee and figured it was just as well because I'd save
3 points in cream and sugar. Major headache within an hour.
Went to get a Coke to make up that caffeine and 3 points.
Felt better. My Dunkin Donuts coffee with cream and sugar is
my daily 3 point treat. When I go down in weight and have to
cut my points, I'll change to milk and sugar (2 points) but
for now, I do love my morning routine.
I do pottery so I measured out 3.8 pounds of clay to get a
feel for what I've lost. It's pretty darn impressive!
