End of drops.

Wilkinsons sell brake blocks with red LEDs in them which are operated by a small switch pressing
against the rim when the brakes are applied.

I thought they were initially nifty but as with most potential purchases I go and ahave a coffee
while I mentally debate the pros and cons.

I decided they would probably be obscured by my luggage rack, would probably not mount horizontally
given the orientation of my brake arms/calipers. Sideways view would be obscured by my panniers. And
I wasn't sure how long they would last i.e. would the brake surface eroding away make the switch
useless? Would the switch be abrasive against my rims.

I didn't buy them.

C+ tested them and said they didn't really work.

I like the sound (sight) of those. I've seen reflective end caps but illuminated ?... nice.

Saw a chap on a BikeE the other day who had similar things, but his had white lights visible from in
front and red to the rear.
