Stop buying the things you crave: if they are not nearby,
you can't gobble them! Also, try the essence treatment: dab
a spot of vanilla essence on you wrist pulse spot: when you
get a craving for sweet stuff, sniff it. It can help.

Try introducing a few vegetables at a time. If you try to
pack them all in at once when you don't think you like them,
you are setting up for failure.

Here are a few vegetable ideas:

Onions: try baking them whole; it takes about an hour, but
they taste really sweet and are still point free

Mediterranean roast vegetables: try a selection of things
like peppers, mushrooms, onions, courgettes and aubergines,
chopped into large chunks: sprinkle with herbs, give a quick
spray with some olive oil, and bake in the oven until yummy!

Carrots: these are also no point, but rather than just
boiling them, add a point to a good sized portion by
caramelizing them with a little butter and a spoonful of
    honey

Make the fruit into fruit smoothies: a small pot of fat free
yoghurt, a few drops of vanilla essence, and a banana makes
a delicious smoothie for very few points

Add 'invisible vegetables' to mince: chop them almost to a
puree in a food processor, add them to dry fried mince, and
add a tin of tomatoes and some herbs; low point Bolognese
    sauce with no visible vegetables!

Do join a local meeting: you will NOT be the fattest there,
nor will you have the most severe trouble sticking to the
plan! A good leader with a good group will help you in LOTS
of ways: we swap recipes, ideas, things that help us, good
low point foods, and all sorts of low point treats for when
    you need them!

    Good luck!

So - why do you want to do it? Seriously - you need to think
about what you hope to achieve - what your goals are.
Focusing on them will help to motivate you. When you do
achieve - reward yourself. Every time I lost, I used to
treat myself - a nice bath, a better than usual bottle of
wine - whatever I could run to - just to help with the sense
of achievement and motivate me to carry on.

You know, I actually prefer going to the gym. It's real hard
to make conversation when you're out of breath anyway. I
don't have to compare myself with anyone else - it all feels
more anonymous in a room full of strangers all focused on
themselves and not you. And I feel great after a good work
out - which helps. After a while you can actually see the
    results - againk v.motivating.

OK - being blunt - you have a freezer full of junk. High
fat low goodness junk. I guess however, cash being an
issue, throwing them out and starting over is out. So, eat
a bit of them, and try and pad your meal out with better
stuff - real potatoes, salad, whichever 0 points veggies
    you can cope with.

Have you tried aubergine, squash, more varied veg? Keep
trying stuff until you find things you do like. You may find
your tastes change as you go on with it too.

Well - you could make smoothies with them? And maybe that

    - disguise them? Strawberries are good for that kind of
thing - well, I love 'em anyway.

Sounds to me like you want to do it BUT...

That's not going to get it done. You must either find a
way of convincing yourself that this time you are going
to lose weight no matter what, or get fatter. Other
people can encourage you, but only YOU can decide you
    want to eat properly.

    Quoted message said:

i was doing well for a month and now im back to my cravings

    kid makes.

    Quoted message said:

i really want to join a gym but iv got NO1 to go with, i to
scared to go on my own,

more excuses. I sympathize with the gym. I dont like them
either. I now have 2 cardio machines and a set of weights at
home. I'm not going to let a little social ineptness stop me
    getting fitter.

    Quoted message said:

plus i want to join ww but i to scared to,

worst excuse. You don't even need to go (though it helps
some people a lot). There are lots of people who do it at
home, online or lose witght without WW at all. All the info
you need is on the net - waiting for YOU to start.

    Quoted message said:

HOW can i start off my healthy eating,

Now thats a good question. The easiest way to eat
healthily is to buy fresh and cook it yourself. I don't
really know how to cook, but I can rustle up a good cheap
meal very easily. get some veges - califlower/broccoli,
mushroom, onion, pepper (ok skip the pepper I see you
don't like it), maybe some sugar snap peas added at the
end, get some meat - turkey thigh meat, LEAN beef, QUORN
etc fry it all up for a bit (the turkey thigh has enough
fat so you don't have to add any extra (add some olive oil
if you use quorn) add a can of low calorie curry sauce
cook up some basmati in the microwave

Good meal for 2 and a bit left over for lunch tomorrow.

That 'meal' has thousands of combinations if you substitute
pasta for rice and pasta sauce for curry etc. The brocolli
pads out the meat, and you can eat as many mushrooms as you
like. They are very good for you and almost no calories. If
you want potatoes with everything, then substitute either
    sweet potato, or squash.

That's just one kind of a meal. You can do wonders with
tuna, and salad or steamed veges

Another favourite is butternut squash peeled, diced. Cooked
up for 30 minutes with a little bacon (I use very cheap
'cooking' bacon from tesco or the market in birmingham).
WIth fresh steamed veg. You can add a barbeque or sweet/sour
sauce if you want some sweetness. And mushroom if you want
to pad it out even firther.

Remember, if you eat starchy or fatty food you can only eat
a little. fresh veg you can eat as much as you want.

No CASH for the next week, to buy anything healthy

stop pigging out on sweets and you will have some cash. If
you can afford to buy crispy chicken (shudder) you can
    afford a basketful of veg.

yuk Apart from the ocean pie, and maybe the bolognaise (and
I'd want to create my own) that sounds dreadful

More excuses. Broccoli, mushrooms and peas can be the basis
of some very nice meals. Do you like raw mushrooms? I do.
You can snack on them all day long and they cost (in terms
    of points) almost nothing.

    Quoted message said:

dnt like much fruit, only bananas and apples- ( i could eat

I don't much like fruit either. Except banana and the odd
apple. Dates are good too. How about dried peaches, dried
pears. Dried apricots are really cheap. Mango is expensive
but really nice. Get the picture?

    Quoted message said:

    thats bout it

look at it this way. You are going to have to change your
    eating habits.

There is only one way to lose weight and that is to reduce
calories. If you want to eat junk you can only eat miniscule
amounts of it and you'll be hungry. Or you can eat fresh veg
and low fat meat and you'll be able to eat a lot more.

alternatively have you tried Atkins? That may be more up
your street. Eat as much protein as you like, but no carbs.
Actually works great if you can do it.
