I un about 4 to 5 miles a day. I run in SanAntonio which has on the average about 90 to 100%
humidity. What is the best drink to get my sodium and potassium back? Thanks.

You may not need any special drink. While the sport drinks on the market would infer almost anyone
needs their product, few running fairly short easy miles really _need_ their products. However you
do need to watch it and the better products are worth while for most runners. Water is good for
all runners.
I suggest buying some samples of the main like products and see what agrees with you. Taste as
much as anything is a good way of making the choice. Don't overdo it. Too much is as bad as too
little. Be sure to drink lots of water was well. Don't chose those products that claim to
provide super human strength or deliver extra O² or other foolishness.
If you are going to do any racing, find out what they will be providing and try it out for
yourself before hand.
I use mostly Gatorade.

My wife does that every night, so where's the nutritional value in it? (for me I mean, she obviously
derives some protein from it)

Yep, I've used V8, slimfast, and endurox for recovery. Most sports drinks do not have enough
electrolytes to replace those used in longer events, but for 4-5 miles, it may not be too big a deal
- as long as you recover with electrolytes. Many people use electrolyte tablets and water. Just read
the labels and find things with adequate sodium and potassium - probably at least 200mg/hour or so,
but depends on individual (I'm guessing from what I see on labels and recommendations).
